So late last night I needed a snack but I didn’t want to full out cook nor eat processed crap.
Suddenly I remembered I purchased 2 cans of chicken stock to use for whatever and that I happened to have a nugget of ginger root laying about.
I tossed the can of chicken stock in a pot
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
½ teaspoon ginger juice*
*1 teaspoon of powdered ginger works just as well
Set it to simmer & tasted it. You know what this is at this point? Ramen stock. It taste JUST like the water you get when you make instant ramen. I have some raw ramen noodles here and I am totally gonna try making my own stock later.
So then add:
½ tablespoon of cornstarch
1 beaten egg poured slowly down some chopsticks.
Salt to taste.
